KATHMANDU, April 29: Nepal Automobiles Dealers Association (NADA) has urged the government to ease lockdown measures imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Issuing a press release, the association suggested the government to ease the lockdown to some extent in order to mitigate impacts on the country's economy.

Similarly, the association has sought relief packages for those working in automobile industry, showrooms, and workshops. Also, NADA demanded the deduction of custom duties, container detention charges, and demurrage Charges in automobiles and spare parts during this lockdown period.
Likewise, the association has requested the government to extend the deadline to pay installments of banks and other financial institutions for six months and VAT for one month along with deduction of interests on bank loan to 5 percent only.
NADA has also demanded an extension of deadline to pay custom duties and other charges.
