KAILALI, Dec 10: Both wives of Narad Muni Rana, who defeated Arzoo Deuba in Kailali-5 wanted to be the first to put a garland on Rana’s neck and mark a victory.

However, both were confused on who was to take the lead. After a pause, the eldest, being the ‘eldest’ took the lead to put a garland and a vermilion tika on Rana’s forehead.

With 27,202 votes, Rana defeated Arzoo Deuba in the House of Representatives elections.

“I am committed to implement the constitution and contribute toward nation’s economic prosperity,” Rana said.

Rana was a former parliamentarian under proportional representation in the first Constituent Assembly of 2007.
