National Assembly approves proposal on citizenship bill

KATHMANDU, August 29: The National Assembly passed a proposal to send the 'Nepal Citizenship (First Amendment) Bill, 2079' to the Legislative Management Committee for reconsideration.

KATHMANDU, August 29: The National Assembly passed a proposal to send the 'Nepal Citizenship (First Amendment) Bill, 2079' to the Legislative Management Committee for reconsideration. 


Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand tabled the proposal in Sunday’s National Assembly meeting. The House of Representatives again approved the bill that was returned by the President to parliament for reconsideration and sent to the upper house with a message. The National Assembly will meet at 2:59 PM on September 1.
