KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The National Assembly passed the Appropriation Bill, 2021 on Thursday.
Today’s session of the upper house passed the Appropriation Bill, 2021 by a majority. Finance Minister Janardan Sharma had presented a proposal in the meeting, seeking passage of the Bill along with the message received from the House of Representatives.

National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina read out the contents of a letter received from the Office of the President. The letter is related to the formation of the Council of Ministers. The main opposition CPN-UML lawmakers rose from their seats in protest after lawmaker Komal Oli, speaking in the meeting, said that the assembly could not carry ahead its business until the Speaker of the House of Representatives took action against the MPs the UML has taken action against.
The upper house will next meet at 11AM on September 24.
