National pride projects to be highly prioritized: Minister Dev

KATHMANDU, July 30: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jitendra Dev, has said that the construction of the five national pride projects falling under the Ministry would be forwarded effectively according high priority.

KATHMANDU, July 30: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jitendra Dev, has said that the construction of the five national pride projects falling under the Ministry would be forwarded effectively according high priority. 


Receiving congratulations and best wishes from the National Tourism Journalists Association (NATOJ) here today, the newly elected Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jitendra Narayan Dev reaffirmed his commitment towards ensuring quality works from CAAN, the aviation regulatory body in the country. 


Of the total 21 projects of national pride and importance, five falling under the Ministry are construction of second International airport at Nijgadh in Bara, Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, regional international airport in Pokhara and implementation and acceleration of plans and programmes of the Pashupati Area Development Trust and Lumbini Development Trust.

Two-month of action-plans in a day or two 


Minister Dev said that the Ministry was to unveil its two-month action-plans aimed at overall development of the culture, tourism and civil aviation sector in a day or two through the press conference. 


He shared that the Ministry has already issued a directives to all the subordinate bodies and stakeholders with an objective to effectively accelerating the constructions of projects national pride projects. 


People's right to know about progress reports of such projects would also be included in the directive, according to the Minister. 


The Ministry has laid special focus on the reconstruction of the quake-damaged cultural and historical monuments, said Minister Dev. 


On the occasion, NATOJ Chairperson Shiva Adhikari drew the attention of Minister Dev towards addressing the issues prevailing in the tourism sector as well as offered solutions to address them. RSS
