KATHMANDU, Sept 17: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali has said that government has been conducting foreign policy keeping national interests at its center.


Addressing a program titled "International Seminar on Global Situation and Future of Nepal" organized by Former Lawmakers’ Forum in Kathmandu on Tuesday, the foreign minister reiterated that the country has adopted the foreign policy of maintaining friendly ties with all countries including neighboring India and China taking into consideration the protection of sovereignty and national interests.

“The government has further strengthened bilateral ties with the two immediate neighbors,” Gyawali added.


He said that Nepal has been emphasizing international relations based on world peace, justice, and economic development.


According to Minister Gyawali, the government has given priority to attracting foreign investment in a bid to achieve economic prosperity in the country.
