NC and Maoist Center win election in Dharchema and Shahidlakhan Rural Municipalities respectively

GORKHA, May 18: Nepali Congress candidate Santa Bahadur Gurung has emerged victorious in the race for chief of Dharchema Rural Municipality with 1709 votes, compared 1656 votes for his closest rival Naya Shakti candidate Laxman Gurung.

GORKHA, May 18: Nepali Congress candidate Santa Bahadur Gurung has emerged victorious in the race for chief of Dharchema Rural Municipality with 1709 votes, compared 1656 votes for his closest rival Naya Shakti candidate Laxman Gurung.


Likewise, NC candidate Phul Maya Gurung has been elected deputy chief of Dharchema Rural Municipality. She secured 1595 votes whereas her closest rival Maoist Center candidate Asha Tamu garnered 1128 votes.

Similarly, Moist Center candidate Ramesh Thapa has won the race for chief of Shahidlakhan Rural Municipality in Gorkha district with 3808 votes, compared to 3404 votes for his closest rival Nepali Congress candidate Krishna Ale.


Likewise, Maoist Center candidate Indira Tiwari has been elected deputy chief of Shahidlakhan Rural Municipality with 3789 votes, compared to 3575 votes garnered by her closest NC candidate Sharmila Shrestha.
