NC clinches deputy chief in Devghat Rural Municipality by 1 vote

TANAHUN, May 16: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Bimala Thapa has been elected as deputy chief of the rural municipality.

TANAHUN, May 16: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Bimala Thapa has been elected as deputy chief of the rural municipality.


She clinched the deputy mayoral post by defeating UML candidate Sabitri Neupane with just one vote. Her closest rival Neupane  got 2,859 votes.

Similarly, UML candidate Durga Bahadur Thapa has been elected as the chief of Devghat Rural Municipality.


He has got 2879 votes while his closet rival Karna Bahadur Gurung got 2, 814 votes.
