KATHMANDU, Oct 10: The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has been put off to mourn the death of its former treasurer, Ram Babu Prasai.
Issuing a statement, the NC said that the CWC meeting scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled due to the death of the former party treasurer and social worker Prasai, also known as Khanuparude.

Prasai, who served as the treasurer of NC when Krishna Prasad Bhattarai was the party president, died at the age of 99 on Friday while undergoing treatment at Om Hospital in Kathmandu.
