NC draws attention of House, Govt about KC's health

KATHMANDU, July 3: Lawmakers of the opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), have drawn the attention of the parliament about the deteriorating health condition of medical education crusader Dr Govinda KC, on Monday. The opposition party has also warned the government from altering the medication education related laws against Dr KC's demand.

KATHMANDU, July 3: Lawmakers of the opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), have drawn the attention of the parliament about the deteriorating health condition of medical education crusader Dr Govinda KC, on Monday. The opposition party has also warned the government from altering the medication education related laws against Dr KC's demand.


Speaking during the zero and special hours of the House of Representatives meeting, opposition lawmakers also came down heavily on the government for barring Dr KC from staging sit-in by declaring prohibited area in district headquarters of Jumla.

Expressing objection on the arrest of Dr KC in Jumla and barring him to stage sit-in protest another NC lawmaker Bharat Shah urged the government not to curtail democratic rights of the people under any pretext.
