NC formally supports Resham Chaudhary's CM candidate

KATHMANDU, April 15: A meeting of the Nepali Congress Sudurpaschim Province Parliamentary Party has formally decided to support Laxman Kishore Chaudhary of Nagarik Unmukti Party as the chief minister (CM). Laxman Chaudhary is backed by NUP patron Resham Chaudhary.

The meeting of the NC parliamentary party on Monday morning decided to support Laxman Chaudhary as the CM. The meeting was chaired by the leader of the parliamentary party, Kamal Bahadur Shah, who is also the chief minister of the caretaker government.

NC Chief Whip Bikram Dhami told Republica that NC informally supported Laxman Chaudhary on Sunday. He said, “Today a formal decision was made.”
