NC leader suggests choosing a common candidate to lead the party

Dang, Dec 18: Nepali Congress leader Amar Singh Pun from Lumbini Province has suggested the party’s top brass select the NC’s parliamentary party leader from groups other than the establishment faction.

Dang, Dec 18: Nepali Congress leader Amar Singh Pun from Lumbini Province has suggested the party’s top brass select the NC’s parliamentary party leader from groups other than the establishment faction.


After meeting Congress Vice President Dhanraj Gurung, Pun suggested that the establishment faction should proceed by selecting a common candidate from other groups.

"In order to strengthen the organization of the Congress, the leader of the parliamentary party NC should be selected from other groups in the establishment," Pun told Vice President Gurung.


During the meeting in Kathmandu, VP  Gurung said that he will proceed by selecting a common candidate. Besides the discussion between the two about the selection of the parliamentary party leader, they also talked about the formation of the federal and provincial governments.
