KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Nepali Congress (NC) is not hosting the tea reception that it organizes on the day of the Kojagrat Purnima every year under the Dashain festival. The party has decided to not organize the reception this year. The Kojagrat Purnima falls on October 19 this year.

NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel gave this information through a press release today. The press release states that although the fear and size of the COVID-19 pandemic has been reducing after the present government made extensive arrangements for vaccination, the tea reception is not going to be organized on the Kojagrat Purnima day this Dashain as we cannot undervalue the risk of the pandemic.
