'Use conscience while casting votes'

KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Nepali Congress(NC) Presidential candidate Dr Shekhar Koirala has appealed to all General Convention representatives of the party to use their conscience while casting votes in the second round of poll to elect the new leadership of the party.

KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Nepali Congress(NC) Presidential candidate Dr Shekhar Koirala has appealed to all General Convention representatives of the party to use their conscience while casting votes in the second round of poll to elect the new leadership of the party.

Dr Koirala's appeal came just before the start of the second round of vote to elect the new president of NC as none of the presidential candidates could secure the required 51 percent votes in the first round of elections held on Monday. "Please use your conscience. Please reflect your votes as your intuition suggests," he appealed to all voters.


Addressing a press conference, Dr Koirala, who was flanked by all candidates of his panel, said his team is committed to bringing reforms in the party's life and improving the lives of the ordinary people. "I express my sincere gratitude to all those who voted for me," he said.Dr Koirala also expressed confidence that he would secure victory in the second round of the poll. He, however, said that he would accept the result of the poll no matter what it  may be.
