BIRATNAGAR, Nov 2: Central Member of Nepali Congress (NC) and candidate for member of the House of Representatives from Morang Constituency no. 6, Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that the alliance should win the election to protect the constitution.
At a corner meeting organized today at Biratnagar Metropolitan City's Janpath Chowk, Koirala pointed out the need for the alliance to achieve success in the elections to strengthen democracy, control corruption and maintain good governance in the country. Mentioning that the NC has given high priority to education as society and nation cannot be civilized without education, Koirala opined that if the government is formed under the leadership of NC, the country will develop.

Stating that the NC will plan and implement the 'from womb to grief' project, he announced that the poor who are mourning the deaths of their near and dear ones will be provided up to Rs 10,000. The NC said that it would give priority to the treatment of senior citizens and maternity allowance.
Kedar Karki, the candidate from constituency no. 6 (B), said that the alliance should win because it will make Biratnagar the capital of the province. He mentioned that he will leave no stone unturned to organize the Biratnagar ring road and directed the cadres to organize voter education programs.
