KATHMANDU, Nov 22: The Nepal Communist Party has called a secretariat meeting at 4 PM today at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar. The meeting comes after 21 central committee members submitted a letter to the two chairpersons, KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
The meeting will dwell into existing debates in party merger and structural delays. The party's central committee hasn't been able to meet since the two communist parties, the then UML and Maoist Center merged.

Yesterday, the Madhav Kumar Nepal faction's 21 central members had submitted a letter urging the two co-chairpersons to call a central committee meeting.
Other issues that are to be discussed include the performance of the Prime Minister's cabinet of ministers. The KP Sharma Oli led government has drawn wide criticism for failing to expedite development and make headways towards the government's "Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali" motto. Yesterday, the Prime Minister himself had expressed dissatisfaction on the poor performance of the government.
