NCP Co-chair Dahal calls for taking ties between NCP, CPC to a new level

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Head of the Chinese Communist Party International Relations Department Song Tao, who is currently visiting Nepal, held a meeting with Co-chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday.


During the meeting, the two leaders vowed to further strengthen the party-to-party relationship between the two ruling communist parties. 


Co-chairperson Dahal stressed the need to take the relationship between the two communist parties to a new level and share each other's experiences.

According to Dahal's secretariat, the two leaders discussed the ongoing activities of the NCP and CPC. Dahal thanked the Chinese Communist Party for continued support to Nepal and Nepali people hoping that it will further increase in the coming days.


"We are grateful to CPC's goodwill to Nepal and Nepali people," the secretariat quoted Dahal as saying.


On his part, Tao, a senior leader of the Chinese Communist Party, stressed the need to launch common programs for experience sharing. "We can win people's heart by achieving sound economic development. Therefore, our priority should be on how to achieve economic development," Tao told Dahal.


Earlier today, NCP and CPC had sealed a six-point Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the capital. The two ruling communist parties have established a sisterly relationship, pledging to further deepen their cooperation in the coming days.
