NEA incurs Rs six million loss as mentally unstable man climbs on overhead high tension electrical lines

KATHMANDU, June 11: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has incurred an average loss of Rs six million after a mentally unstable man climbed on the overhead high electrical line in Nuwakot. According to NEA, it has to bear such a loss as the Upper Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project had to shut down after this incident.

KATHMANDU, June 11: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has incurred an average loss of Rs six million after a mentally unstable man climbed on the overhead high electrical line in Nuwakot. According to NEA, it has to bear such a loss as the Upper Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project had to shut down after this incident.

Maila BK, 44, of Ghalegaun, Belkotgadhi Municipality-13 has been walking on high tension overhead electrical cables since this morning after he climbed an overhead power line located at Kakani Rural Municipality-7. According to the police, BK is mentally unstable.


While the police are trying to lure him to bring him to the ground, NEA has asked the Nepal Army (NA) for help.
