KATHMANDU, March 25: Nepal ‘A’ have defeated Ireland Wolves in the first T20 practice match today.
Ireland won the toss and invited Nepal to field first. Nepal met the target of 122 runs at the loss of four wickets in 16.1 overs in the inaugural match held at the TU cricket ground.
For Nepal, opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 38 runs with 4 fours, Sandeep Zora scored 37 with the help of 2 sixes and 3 fours, Asif Sheikh scored 16 runs and Dipendra Singh Airi contributed 20 runs.
Ireland Wolves defeat Nepal 'A' by 114 runs
Ireland's Gareth Delaney took two wickets, and Thomas Meyer and Ben White took one wicket each.
Before that, Ireland, who won the toss and batted first, scored 121 runs after losing all the wickets in 20 overs.
Ireland's opener Stephen Doheny scored 46 runs off 39 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
None of the other Irish batters could perform well.
Nepal's Kushal Bhurtel, Gulsan Jha and Lalit Rajbanshi took two wickets each. Karan KC and Kushal Malla took one wicket each.
