KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Nepal secured a spot in the semifinals after a triumphant performance against Malaysia in the T-20 World Cup Qualifiers.
Choosing to bat after winning the toss, Malaysia set a target of 166 runs for Nepal to chase, and Nepal met the challenge while losing four wickets. The aggressive batting of Kushal Malla and Kushal Bhurtel played a pivotal role in Nepal's victory.

Malla demonstrated remarkable form, amassing 65 runs off 34 balls, including 7 sixes and 2 fours. Opener Bhurtel was equally impressive, contributing 43 runs off 25 balls, which included 4 sixes and 4 fours.
Nepal's win not only secured their place in the semifinals but also propelled Oman to the next stage as the second team from Group A. Oman had previously defeated Singapore earlier in the day. Consequently, with these results, Singapore and Malaysia have been eliminated from the tournament.
The clash between Nepal and Oman, scheduled for Wednesday, will determine the group winners and runners-up.
