KATHMANDU, March 17: Nepal Aushadhi Limited has initiated the production of three new types of medication starting from Sunday. Kailash Kumar Paneru, the general manager of Nepal Aushadhi Limited, announced that the state-owned drug manufacturing company began production of medicines named Centrimine, MGT, and MGT-DF this Sunday.

These medications are available in tablet form. The company has the capacity of producing 150,000 tablets per day. Paneru highlighted the potential for increased production of medications if the government provides additional financial support. He pointed out that despite the government allocating a budget of Rs 240 million for the production of 20 types of drugs, the process has been challenged by delays in receiving these funds.

Established in 2029 B.S., Nepal Aushadhi Limited once produced up to 120 types of medications. However, production was halted in 2062 B.S., only to resume in 2074 B.S. with the production of cetamol. With the introduction of the three new medicines, the company now manufactures a total of 11 types of medicines.
