Nepal-Bangladesh socio-cultural relations unbreakable: Minister Bhandari

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, stressed the need for stronger socio-cultural ties between Nepal and Bangladesh.

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, stressed the need for stronger socio-cultural ties between Nepal and Bangladesh.


In his address to a program organized by the Nepal-Bangladesh Friendship Association in Kathmandu on Friday, the Minister said Nepal and Bangladesh observed the bilateral relations since ancient times and the socio-cultural relations between them be consolidated.

He said that such ties between the two friendly nations go beyond the political relations, it is unbreakable and it should be extended to the labor exchange level as well.


On the occasion, various artists from Nepal, India and Bangladesh were honored. Bhandari expressed confidence that the event will  contribute to further deepening the ties among the three friendly nations.


Mayor of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality of Doti, Baji Singh Khadka, urged the Bangladeshi citizens to take a time to visit major touristic sites in Sudurpaschim such as Khaptad, Badimalika, Api, Saipal and Badikedar. The event was financially assisted by the Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality and coordinated by the Nepal Tourism Board.
