KATHMANDU, April 14: Nepal Commerce Campus has won the Vice Chancellor Cup Inter-campus Volleyball Tournament defeating the host Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus in the final match on Friday.
Nepal Police Club lifts National Volleyball Championship title
Commerce Campus beat Ratna Rajya in 3-2 set to lift the title in a match played at Ratna Rajya court. Commerce Campus lost the first set 25-22, but made a brilliant come back to win the second and the third sets 25-20, 25-17.
Ratna Rajya won the fourth set 25-23, but lost the last set 9-25 and had to satisfy with the runner-up medal. Winner Commerce Campus took home Rs 50,000, while the runner-up Ratna Rajya was rewarded with Rs 30,000. The third-placed team Amrit Science Campus bagged a purse of Rs 20,000. Lalit BK of Surkhet Education Campus was adjudged the best player of the tournament which featured 19 teams from Kathmandu Valley and three from outside the Valley. BK got Rs 5,000.
