The Kathmandu Valley has so far reported 546 COVID-19 deaths
KATHMANDU, Nov 28: The government on Saturday confirmed 1,380 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across the country.
Of the 9,368 real time PCR tests carried out in the past 24 hours, as many as 834 males and 546 females were diagnosed with the viral infection.
India logs 50,407 fresh COVID-19 cases, 804 deaths
With the new confirmed cases, the total number of infections has advanced to 230,723, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 91.5 percent of the detected infections--- 211,186 patients --- have so far gained recovery against the disease including 515 recoveries in the past 24 hours.
COVID-19 disease has claimed the lives of 1,454 in the country since the first death was reported on May 16 earlier this year. The ministry confirmed 19 other deaths on Saturday.
There are currently 18,083 active cases of the disease across the country receiving treatment for the disease either at home or institutional isolation centers.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu Valley, where the federal capital of the country lies, witnessed 645 new cases of the disease. It takes the total number of infections in the Valley to 106,778. The Valley has so far registered 546 fatalities due to COVID-19 infection.
