Kuwait defeats Nepal 1-0

KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Kuwait defeated Nepal 1-0 during their match held in Bhutan on Tuesday in a joint qualifier of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023.

KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Kuwait defeated Nepal 1-0 during their match held in Bhutan on Tuesday in a joint qualifier of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023.


Nepal conceded one goal during the first half. Kuwait's Al Motawa scored one goal at the 28th minute. However, the second half ended with no goals. Therefore, Nepal lost to Kuwait today.

This was a home match for Nepal after losing 0-7 in the away match held in Kuwait. It had to be played in a neutral venue after Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu was not completed to host the home match for Nepal.


In the match held under the qualifying so far, Nepal has secured one win and faced three losses. Nepal defeated Chinese Taipei by 2-0 but lost to Australia (0-5) and Jordan (0-3).
