KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Nepal U-15 national football team has registered a 2-0 win against the national U-15 team of Sri Lanka in the second match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U-15 Championship being held in Kolkata on Friday.
Shashank Bohora and Ashim Rai registered their names on the score-sheet to keep Nepal alive in the tournament.
Nepal had suffered a terrible 5-0 loss against India in the opening match of the tournament on Wednesday.

Nepal took the lead at the start of the second half after the first was ended on a 0-0 stalemate. Nepal secured the lead as Bohora broke the deadlock in the 46th minute. It was doubled in the 83rd minute by Rai securing three points on the table.
Sri Lanka suffered its first defeat in the second match of the tournament after overcoming Bhutan challenge in a close fought 3-2 match. Both Nepal and Sri Lanka has three points each after first two matches.
Nepal will face defending champion Bangladesh on Tuesday and Bhutan on Thursday. Similarly, Sri Lanka has a tough fixture against India and Bangladesh to go.
Nepal will improve its chances to reach finals if it can win remaining both matches. Nepal has rejuvenated its march in the championship making a comeback after a setback in the first match.
The top two teams at the end of the group stage will play a final match to decide the winner.
