KATHMANDU, Dec 20: Nepal Distilleries Pvt Ltd, Nepal's first spirit producer company, has launched a premium brand spirit 'Aristocrat' of 40 US Proof (UP) in the market.

According to a statement issued by the company, 40 UP spirit has alcohol by volume (ABV) of 34.23 percent. The manufacturers are attracted towards liquor with 40 UP as the excise duty on such products is lower compared to 25 or 30 UP beverages. Due to low excise duty, the price of spirit in this segment is also consumer-friendly.
