POKHARA, Dec 5: Nepal women have entered finals of women's football defeating Maldives 3-0.
Striker Sabitra Bhandari scored hat-trick for Nepal. In the match plyaed at the 13th South Asian Games at Pokhara Stadium on Thursday afternoon, Bhandari scored two goals in the 16th and 20th minute and the third goal in the injury time. She broke the record of former captain Anu Lama who had scored 35 international goals.
Nepal enters finals, to play against Bhutan coming Tuesday
With those goals, she scored a total of 38 international goals for Nepal to create a new record of having scored the highest number of international goals ever by any Nepali women footballer.
Nepal will play against India in the finals.
