Nepal experiences partial shift in weather patterns due to impact of western wind

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Nepal is currently experiencing a partial impact of the western wind. There has been a partial shift in the weather pattern in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi and Madhesh provinces, with generally clear conditions prevailing in the rest of the nation. Some places in the Terai region are experiencing fog.

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Nepal is currently experiencing a partial impact of the western wind. There has been a partial shift in the weather pattern in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi and Madhesh provinces, with generally clear conditions prevailing in the rest of the nation. Some places in the Terai region are experiencing fog.


The weather is expected to be generally clear in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, as well as Koshi and Madhesh provinces this afternoon.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two locations in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.


The weather is anticipated to be generally clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces tonight, while the remaining regions will be partly cloudy. There is a chance of light snowfall at one or two locations in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
