KATHMANDU, Nov 1: The Nepal-India friendly bus service that was affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic has resumed after two years.
Nepalgunj-based Bheri Transport Pvt Ltd has been operating the Nepal-India passenger friendly transport service from Nepalgunj to the Indian capital city of Delhi, Lucknow-- the capital city of Uttar Pradesh--, and Dehradun and Haridwar.
Nepal Drug Ltd resumes operations after a hiatus of eight years
Chairperson of Bheri Transport Pvt Ltd Rajendra Giri said the Nepal-India passenger friendly bus service has been resumed from Sunday with the permission for cross-border vehicular operation following the reduced risk of coronavirus.
The shutdown of bus services had caused a huge financial loss to the bus entrepreneurs. The resumption of bus service has made it easy for Nepali passengers to travel to and from Indian cities, including Delhi, Dehradun and Haridwar.
According to Giri, the bus from Nepalgunj to Delhi leaves at 5:00 PM while the Nepalgunj-bound bus from Delhi departs at 5:00 PM. The buses for Dehradun and Haridwar leave at 8:00 PM from Nepalgunj.
