KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) has implemented the guidelines related to the Insurance Regulatory Management Information System (IRMIS).


The NIA has implemented the guidelines to make data management and work of regulators and insurers efficient and transparent.

Now, the IRMIS portal will have to be used for exchanging information and data between regulators, insurers, and other relevant agencies.


Life, non-life and reinsurance companies should provide the information requested by the NIA within the specified time according to this guideline.


It is mentioned in the guideline that the NIA will provide the login ID to the insurer and the company should enter their data in the same system.
