Nepal Police recommends 22 DSP for promotion to SP

KATHMANDU, May 13: Twenty-two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) of Nepal Police have been recommended for promotion to Superintendent of Police (SP). A meeting of the Promotion Committee held on Friday published the list of candidates for the promotion.

KATHMANDU, May 13: Twenty-two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) of Nepal Police have been recommended for promotion to Superintendent of Police (SP). A meeting of the Promotion Committee held on Friday published the list of candidates for the promotion.

In the recommendation, DSP Gautam Kumar KC is ranked on the top while Rajan Bhujel is ranked on the 22nd position. Bashundhara Khadka, Apilraj Bohara, Navraj Karki, Govinda Puri, Ramprasad Gharti Magar, Basudev Pathak, Rupesh Khadka, Milan KC, Bhavesh Rimal, Shyam Bahadur Khatri, Shaligram Sharma, Hariharnath Yogi, Shyam Kumar Rai, Govindraj Kafle and others have been recommended for promotion.


A complaint can be filed with the Public Service Commission against the decision of the promotion committee within seven days. There is a legal provision that the Minister of Home Affairs has to make the appointment if there is no complaint against those recommended for promotion.
