Nepal promoted in Phuket

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok and Consulate of Nepal in Phuket of Thailand jointly organized a program for promotion of tourism in Nepal on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok and Consulate of Nepal in Phuket of Thailand jointly organized a program for promotion of tourism in Nepal on Thursday.



The promotional event was held also with support from Non-resident Nepali Association in Phuket and Thai – Nepali Association. 



The program was attended by Phuket's Vice Governor Sanit Sriwihok, Chief of Public Relations Department, President of Sports Association and President of Phuket Tourism Board. 



On the occasion, Ambassador Khaga Nath Adhikari spoke of the various aspects of Nepal's tourism including Lumbini, trekking and mountain expeditions and the cultural heritages. He thanked the media and tour operators for their cooperation in promoting Nepal's tourism industry. 



First Secretary Ramesh Kumar Charmakar made a detailed presentation on 'Trekking in Nepal' covering the trekking destinations in Nepal and disseminating full information on procedures before any trekking expeditions. RSS
