KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Nepal has reached to the semi-final of the SAFF Championship 2018. In its third group stage against, Nepal defeated Bangladesh by 2-0 goal. In the do-or-die match played at Banga Bandhu Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday, Bimal Gharti Magar scored the first goal through free-kick in 33rd minutes of the first half.
Nepal to face India in SAFF U-15 final
The host country tried to come back in the second half seeking to equalize the match at least, whereas Nepal was looking for another goal. Finally, Navayug Shrestha hit the net in the 90th minute and took the score to 2-0.
With this win, Nepal has top the scoreboard of the group A with the goal difference and Pakistan stands at second place. Nepal will now face the runner-up of the group B in the semi-final.
