KATHMANDU, June 6: South Korea, an attractive destination for Nepali migrant workers, has provided health materials worth Rs 22.5 million to Nepal in order to help control the spread of COVID-19 infection in the country.
According to the South Korean Embassy in Kathmandu, the Korean government has provided a complete set of RT-PCR kit to Nepal through Koica, an international development agency.

As stated in a press release by the embassy, as many as 17,760 PCR tests can be conducted through the RT-PCR kit. The materials have been handed over to Dr Roshan Pokhrel, chief specialist and head of Health Coordination Division of the Ministry of Health and Population by Ambassador Park Chong-Suk. The health materials were handed over at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Earlier, the South Korean government had provided 40,000 PCR kits and health materials worth Rs 7.5 million through Koica to Nepal.
