Kathmandu Valley recorded 2,609 new cases in past 24 hours
KATHMANDU, May 16: Nepal recorded 7,368 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours along with 6,648 recoveries and 145 cases of fatality.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 19,539 PCR tests and 344 antigen tests were conducted on Sunday. Of them 7,316 PCR tests and 52 antigen tests were positive for COVID-19.
There are currently 110,263 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 7,808 are in institutional isolation, 102,455 in home isolation, 1,313 are in ICUs and 380 are on ventilators.
Similarly, the health ministry also recorded 145 new cases of fatality related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley witnessed as many as 2,609 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Of them, 292 were detected in Bhaktapur, 436 in Lalitpur and 1,881 in Kathmandu districts.
