Nepal reports first COVID-19 death in three months

KATHMANDU, April 11: Nepal recorded 106 new cases of COVID-19 along with 48 recoveries and one death from the deadly virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.

KATHMANDU, April 11: Nepal recorded 106 new cases of COVID-19 along with 48 recoveries and one death from the deadly virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.


As many as 2,436 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 74 PCR and 32 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 469 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 24 are in institutional isolation, 13 in ICUs and five on ventilators. 


Meanwhile, the health ministry has urged one and all to take caution and also get themselves a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
