KATHMANDU, April 23: Nepal Republic Media has awarded the journalists and employees during a special event organized to mark its 10th founding anniversary in the capital on Tuesday.
The NRM management awarded journalists Thira Lal Bhusal (Kathmandu), Mahabir Poudel (Kathmandu), Nagendra Upadhyay (Surkhet), Bishnu Prasad Aryal (Kathmandu), Prashanta Lamichhane (Kathmandu), Ritesh Tripathi (Birgunj), Bhim Chapagain (Ilam) and Dil Bahadur Chhantyaal (Dhangadhi) for their valuable contribution to the organization. Employee Madan Aryal also received the award on the occasion.
Managing Director of Nepal Republic Media Binod Raj Gyawali cut a special cake to celebrate the occasion.
NRM launches 'Game Changer' magazine
Addressing the event, Director of Nepal Republic Media Shova Gyawali urged media persons and employees to work to further strengthen the image of the organization. “Your contribution to this organization is highly valuable,” she said.
Chief Executive Officer of NRM Samriddhi Gyawali said that Nagarik and Republica dailies have been playing a leading role in the promotion of good governance and controlling corruption through their series of news stories.
Editor of Republica Daily Subhas Ghimire urged the journalists to focus on investigative and in-depth stories.
Editor of Nagarik Daily Gunaraj Luintel said that self-motivation is important for the journalists to work in a leading professional media house like Nagarik.
Digital Editor of Nagarik Network Rajaram Gautam, Editor of Sukrabar Weekly KP Dhungana and Editor of Pariwar Weekly Bishwamani Pokharel also made their remarks during the event.
The NRM will announce the name of Nagarik Nayak on Wednesday evening.
