664 new recovery cases in last 24 hours
KATHMANDU, July 2: Nepal's COVID-19 recovery tally has surpassed 5000 on Thursday, with 664 new recoveries in past 24 hours.

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 664 patients of COVID-19 were discharged after recovery from various isolation centers and hospitals. "With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery tally has soared to 5,320," he said.
Also, the MoHP reported 473 new cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours, taking total number of cases to 14,519.
Of 14,519 COVID-19 cases, 636 are from Province 1, 3,909 from Province 2, 505 from Bagmati Province, 1,084 from Gandaki Province, 3,853 from Province 5, 1,512 from Karnali Province and 3,020 from Sudurpaschim Province.
In the past 24 hours, 13 new cases of COVID-19 was reported in Province 1, 53 in Province 2, 47 in Bagmati Province, 26 in Gandaki Province, 10 in Province 5, 4 in Karnali Province and 320 in Sudur Paschim Province were reported.
Similarly, according to the latest figure provided by MoHP, Mahottari, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Kapilvastu, Palpa, Dang, Dailekh and Kailali districts have witnessed more than 500 cases each.
