KATHMANDU, June 25: Nepal's eastern transits with West Bengal state of India have been sealed off for 72 hours beginning Friday morning in view of the upcoming Gorkhaland Territorial Administration election.
Following correspondence by the Indian side, the transits with India in Pashupatinagar in Ilam district and Kakadvitta and Bhadrapur in Jhapa have been closed, said Chief District Officer, Jhapa, Chhabi Lal Rijal.

The transits that were sealed at 6AM Friday will be open at 6AM on coming Monday, he said.
Those in need for mobility across the border can have a passage through coordination with security officials of both the countries, he said.
