Nepal's poor performance in Asian Games 2018

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Nepali athletes have had a poor showing baring some new records created at the 18th Asian Games underway in Indonesia.

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Nepali athletes have had a poor showing baring some new records created at the 18th Asian Games underway in Indonesia. 


Kamal Bahadur Adhikari created a new national record while Sanju Chaudhary broke three national records in weight lifting, while others have not been able to cross the first and second round.

Nepal's performance was also below par in Taekwando, which was expected to fetch some medals for the country. Asmita Khadka and Gyanendra Hamal are competing today while others have been knocked out. 


As of Wednesday, Nepal has completed its contest in football, Wrestling, Wushu, Lawn Tennis and Shooting. Nepal is competing in 29 sport categories in the Games that concludes on September 2.
