Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan hail Modi's proposal to battle COVID-19

KATHMANDU, March 13: Leaders of Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Bhutan have welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposal to chalk out joint strategy against coronavirus.

KATHMANDU, March 13: Leaders of Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Bhutan have welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposal to chalk out joint strategy against coronavirus.


Hours after Modi called the South Asian leaders to develop a common strategy against COVID-19, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Sri Lankan President Gotabaya RajapaksaMaldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Bhutanese PM Lotay Tshering  separately replied him on Twitter one after another, welcoming Modi's initiative. Sri Lankan President Rajapaksa was the first to respond Modi while Solih and Oli followed the suit.
