In view of Nirmal Thapa, Director of Foreign Employment Promotion Board, Nepali migrant workers are falling prey to traffickers as they are not well informed about foreign employment, skills required for it and other terms and conditions.

There are some 5 million Nepali migrant workers alone in India. Lack of transparency in supplying of workers to the global labor market by manpower agencies is one of the major reasons making foreign employment gradually unsafe, the participants said.

Some 85 per cent Nepali are going for abroad jobs without taking job permit which causes problems in their rescue in need. RSS
