Nepal Telecom launches credit service for prepaid customers

Kathmandu, Mar 30: Nepal Telecom has started credit service to its prepaid subscribers. Speaking at the program, state minister of Communication and Information, Gokul Prasad Baskota said that the new feature would enable Nepal Telecom to further expand its coverage and provide facility to improve connectivity among its customers.


“The new feature will further help Nepal Telecom to develop competitiveness and quality,” Baskota said.

Customers of GSM Prepaid and CDMA can take credits from Rs. 5 to 40, which would later be deducted following a recharge without any interests or service taxes.  


The service will be applicable for simcards older than three months. Subscribers can iquire their credit limit by sending an SMS to 1477 typing STATUS. To start or stop the service, a subscriber would have to write either of the words in block letters and send it to 1477.


The credit amont can be used for all facilities: phone calls, SMS and internet services.
