Nepal U-15 women’s football team to leave for Bhutan today

KATHMANDU. Aug 7: The Nepal U-15 women’s team will leave for Bhutan on Tuesday to participate in the second SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship that starts from Thursday. The first edition of the tournament was held in Bangladesh, where the host defeated India to lift the title.

KATHMANDU. Aug 7: The Nepal U-15 women’s team will leave for Bhutan on Tuesday to participate in the second SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship that starts from Thursday. 


The tournament, which ends on August 18, will feature six teams including host Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The first edition of the tournament was held in Bangladesh, where the host defeated India to lift the title. 


Nepal will take on Bangladesh and Pakistan in Group B, while India, Bhutan and Sri Lanka are pitted in Group A. 


Nepal will take on Pakistan in the first match on Saturday, while it will take on Bangladesh in the second. The top two teams of each group will enter the semifinals of the tournament.
