Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City office sealed off to curb spread of coronavirus

NEPALGUNJ, Aug 3: Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City office has been sealed off from Monday, hours after a local representative and some employees at the sub-metropolitan office tested positive for COVID-19.

NEPALGUNJ, Aug 3: Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City office has been sealed off from Monday, hours after a local representative and some employees at the sub-metropolitan office tested positive for COVID-19.


Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the sub-metropolis, Om Bahadur Khadka, told Republica Online that the sub-metropolitan city office has been completely sealed off until further notice.


The decision of the sub-metropolis comes hours after 11 persons including a local representative diagnosed with coronavirus on Monday.

Banke district has been witnessing rising cases of coronavirus in recent weeks. The District Administration Office, Banke, issued a three-day prohibitory order across the district starting from Sunday to stop the spread of coronavirus. Nine persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
