KATHMANDU, Sept 5: A music video titled Nepali Byakaran that teaches us rules of Nepali grammar has gone viral on social networking sites of late.
Over 100,000 people have watched this video on YouTube and it has received a lot of likes, comments and shares on Facebook.
Living up to its name
It teaches us Hraswa and Deergha (grammatical rules about short and long form of intonation) in Nepali language through song.
This Teej song has been produced by the students of Awareness International Academy.
Bimal Ghimire, teacher of the school, is the lyricist. “I have written the lyrics of the song to teach students grammar in a tuneful manner. I invented this method of teaching rules of grammar after the students found it tedious to learn, " Ghimire told Republica Online.
It became popular soon after the students chanted the lyrics in the school.
‘Later on, it was composed into music following the suggestion of the music teacher and became viral in a flash,’ said Ghimire.
