Nepali in Malaysia in misery as company refuses to bear medical cost

NEPALGUNJ, July 17: A Nepali migrant worker, who was injured in Malaysia while heading to join duty on a company’s vehicle, is battling for life. The company hasn’t paid any attention toward his treatment, according to a friend of the injured man.

NEPALGUNJ, July 17: A Nepali migrant worker, who was injured in Malaysia while heading to join duty on a company’s vehicle, is battling for life. The company hasn’t paid any attention toward his treatment, according to a friend of the injured man.


Five persons including Sagar Shrestha and Karna Bahadhur BC were injured when a vehicle of K-Force Security Company had met with an accident after ramming with a tree on July 10. Among the injured, Shrestha’s condition is said to be serious. The employment company has neither obeyed the rule of bearing medical expenses not paid attention toward his treatment, said BC. “Me and my colleagues are feeling better after the treatment “he told Republica Online,”

But Shrestha’s condition is very critical, the hospital is not treating him as the company hasn’t take any responsibility” All of the migrant workers were working as security guards at the company located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.


According to BC, the company owner had refused to take responsibility when they had requested for providing treatment.


“No officials at the Nepali Embassy are listening to our grievances. We don’t have any other options,” he said, “Where to seek justice if the company doesn’t provide treatment in case of accident of its vehicle.”


Shrestha and BC are the residents of Dhangadi and Surkhet respectively. According to BC, Shrestha is kept in Sultan Ismail Hospital and he is being administered painkillers.
