The joint patrol has been initiated in order to further consolidate security provision in the border area considering the upcoming festivals, said Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Belauri Rana Bahadur Chand.

"It will also try to stop the smuggling of goods as well as to protect the border pillars. A joint patrol by security persons of Nepal and India also strengthens relations between the two sides and ease addressing the challenges seen in the border area. The patrol will also help facilitate cross border traveling," added Chand.
