KATHMANDU, June 4: The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has continued to slide for the third consecutive day. The market shed 3.56 points closing at 1289.28 points on Tuesday.
The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 715.4 million with 2.25 million units traded shares through 9,939 transactions.
Nepse continues bear market slide
Shivam Cement Limited (SHIVM) was at the top based on the turnover with Rs 120.13 million while Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) was also the top stock based on share trading as 343,537 units shares were traded during the day.
Both the sensitive index and float index decreased by 0.62 points and 0.25 points respectively.
Out of the sub-indices, Hotels, Development Banks, Finance and Manufacturing & Production sectors landed in the green zone while all other sectors ended in the red zone.
Meanwhile, the top gainer of the day was Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH) which stood at Rs 322 (6.98%) while Joshi Hydropower Company Limited remains top loser of the day with Rs 88 (-6.38% down).
